Recently I’ve noticed (as you all have I’m sure) that brass, gold and copper are here to stay (thanks a lot Tom Dixon), for a while anyway. One great way to get some brass/ gold or copper into your home (without overdoing it) is to use a nice brass, copper, or gold finish set of flatware. The trend is strong so you have choices at all of the name shops, but here are a few finds that are off the beaten track if you are looking for something that is really yours and slightly different from what I have seen around everywhere. -VLR
This is the same set that I have; Vintage Dorling Gold Electroplate Flatware. It is great quality and has a wonderful feel when you are using it (note that I have long fingers!). It’s available on Ebay. $224 for 42 pcs.
This Arezzo copper flatware will add a vintage feel to a table while still being clean and modern. $78 for 5 pcs.
This One Kings Lane 5 pc Vintage gold Milano Flatware set is pretty on target trend-wise (but of course, they know what they are doing over at OKL don’t they?). $25 for 5 pcs.
This Symphonette Vintage set is pretty glamorous. Simple but with a super sophisticated trim on the edges of the handles that makes it fancy -and why not? $199.97 for 50 pcs.
A three piece shiny copper flatware set is available at CB2 for those who want something less copper and more luster. $26.95 for 3 pcs.
