11 Feb 2020 LUXURY RURAL KITCHENS with natural wood. by thevlr.comWPnom | posted in: Home & Interiors | 3 Country kitchens typically have a natural, rustic feeling with lots of natural wood. This trend (sometimes just natural wood accents) has been getting stronger and stronger and part of the appeal is that there is a more modern simplicity to even the most classic looks. Here are some of my favorites! -VLR Here’s my own kitchen. The mix is country classic painted wood cabinets and marble tops with two simple oak units that are from Italy. I have to give a shout out to MIELE appliances as they make me look like a whiz in the kitchen! Modern, simple, rustic, luxurious, this kitchen seems to have it all! The contrast between sharp edges and rustic hand hewn wood makes it all work. photo: AD GERMANY. A brilliant example of 18th century craftsmanship with a modern appeal. This gorgeous house is in Columbia County NY, where I live. Photo: ELLE COUNTRY PLAIN ENGLISH is the quintessential country kitchen bespoke cabinet company. Look how they’ve used only 3 colors and a touch of wood to create a kitchen that is at once traditional and yet so simple that it evokes a modern esthetic. Simply brilliant! DeVOL KITCHENS started as a furniture maker so their kitchens have the little extra something (look at that copper sink). They also give you and indication of pricing on their WEBSITE which is fantastic. PLAIN ENGLISH has three COLOR COLLECTIONS with pictures of each on their site. There are 36 glorious colors in all. Wood, wood, and more wood. So clean, so simple, so natural, by PLAIN ENGLISH. Using natural wood in the kitchen can also be an inside the cabinet detail like this (I dream of) pantry by PLAIN ENGLISH. This farmhouse inspired kitchen by DeVOL keeps it clean and modern yet so convivial at the same time. This smaller kitchen has a big natural wood impact by just showcasing the great flooring and keeping the rest very simple. Natural wood makes modern kitchens somehow feel cozy and connected to their country counterparts. Photo from ELLE COUNTRY.
